FAQ
To be honest, and hopefully not glib, the only questions I tend to be asked are
•“Can you do the job?”
And
•“How much?”
My fees are reasonable - all of the clients I’ve worked for have turned into regular customers, or have recommended me to others.
I don’t market myself or advertise – all of my work comes from word of mouth.
Actually, it’s usually me that asks most of the questions as part of a collaborative process to try and form a clear idea of the look and feel the client wants the pictures to have.
There is always a conversation beforehand to discuss the shoot, explore options and be sure that everyone is agreed on what we are trying to aim for.
I generally encourage clients to:
•keep things simple
•strive for authenticity
•capture real moments rather than artificial poses or anything too contrived
•communicate or elicit emotion
•avoid cliché
I can see I’m starting to go down a wormhole of potentially endless photographic discussion here, so I’ll wrap up now and can hopefully look forward to continuing a conversation with you in person sometime.
