About On Sight Photographic

OSP is basically me – Andy Sillett, plus occasional collaborators and assistants.
I used to be a reporter and we didn’t have too high an opinion of photographers. ‘Snappers’ we called them, or ‘monkeys’ because of their general uncouth and undignified behaviour. You’ve seen them on the telly, shoving and shouting in a pack. I still love words. After leaving Fleet Street I set up and sold my own media agency then became a translator and editor at On Sight Media. I also write scripts for film and TV. And no, you won't have seen anything I've written as it hasn't made it onto the screen. Yet! But photography is now my main focus (no pun intended). And while I don’t push and shout with the paps, I have been known to run across the road, clamber on things or crawl on my belly to get a decent shot. I especially love photographing people - as corporate or family portraits, or just randomly on the street. I also produce stock photos for international agencies. Take a look at the galleries on this site, and there’s also a blog and an FAQ section that gives you more of an insight into how the pictures are produced. If you like what I do and think I could help you create some great pictures, then please give me a call, I'd love to hear from you.
